Websites and projects
Kyle Ashlin builds online projects, with a focus on turning ideas into things people can use. He is the founder of Play Now Portal and MyClipper.
Play Now Portal brings together gaming platforms, sports and racing guides, digital card packs and links to his other projects.
MyClipper is a clip-first social platform where people can watch and share clips, discover creators and connect with others. It also includes clipping tools and opportunities for people who want to create clips. Kyle is developing it for viewers as well as creators.
Goals and direction
Kyle wants to grow his online projects into useful platforms with communities of their own. For MyClipper, that means making watching, sharing and creating feel straightforward, while helping clippers find an audience and opportunities for their work.
He enjoys both the creative side of coming up with an idea and the practical work of improving it. His direction continues to develop as he explores new interests, learns from people and sees how his projects are used.
Psychology, analysis and building
Kyle has a strong personal interest in psychology and human behaviour. He likes exploring why people make certain decisions, what draws them to a business or an idea, and how their experiences shape what they do.
He describes himself as an analyst at heart. That curiosity extends to businesses, online platforms and everyday interactions: looking for patterns, questioning assumptions and considering different perspectives.
Building gives him a way to put that curiosity into practice. He thinks about what people need, how a feature should work and what could make an experience easier to use. He uses AI-assisted development tools to help turn his ideas into working projects.
Earlier projects
Before his current websites, Kyle ran a sports-tipping group called Tipsy Tipsters, later renamed Punters Delight. He analysed sporting events and shared tips with the group before eventually stepping away from it.
It was an early outlet for his interest in analysis and building an online community. His focus has since broadened to website projects, business ideas and human behaviour.
Kashlin online
Kashlin is Kyle’s online name. He occasionally streams and posts stories, while most of his current attention goes towards his projects and other interests.
He previously shared pokies-related videos on Facebook and Instagram and grew a following on Snapchat. He later stepped back from that content to explore a wider range of interests and give his online presence a broader direction.
Fishing background
Kyle also has a background in Tasmania’s fishing industry, including work as a deckhand. It remains part of his experience alongside his online projects and other interests.
